The Looney Tunes™ characters are some of the craziest and best-loved animated characters of all time.
The first Looney Tunes™ short dates to 1929, although the first appearance of a major character recognizable today was by Porky Pig in 1935. Merrie Melodies were animated in full colour starting in 1934, a full nine years before Looney Tunes™.
The reverse of this coin appropriately features a full colour rendering of Looney Tunes™ characters in a pose they might strike at the end of a performance.
Bugs Bunny is in the foreground, arms outstretched and surrounded by Daffy Duck, Sylvester, Tweety, the Tasmanian Devil, Pepe Le Pew and the unfortunate black cat he always had a crush on!
They appear to be popping out a red circle, just as they would at the end of a cartoon.
When viewed closely the coin reveals an "Easter egg" of the words Looney Tunes™ laser engraved in the background.
With a limited mintage of only 12500, these will sell quickly.
